Sit and soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

A sitz bath basin that fits on the toilet is the easiest, but you can also use a few inches of warm water in a clean bathtub, or enjoy it as a full bath.

When can I use it after birth?

Ask your doctor, nurse or midwife when baths are right for you, especially after stitches or a C-section.
